If you are anything like me, I have a hard time finding soap that will not dry out my sink and leave me looking like a scaling zombie.
I strongly dislike taking a shower and then a couple hours later, go change clothes and seeing all the skin flakes from the shower I just took not long ago. Very annoying!
Several years ago, I was with a friend and she mentioned that she uses a goat milk soap base to make soap for her family. After getting back home, I did some research and found some interesting information about the goat milk soap base and how beneficial it is.
Daily soap use
Since we use soap on the daily, we needed something to be gentle on our skin, yet strong enough to slush away dead skin cells and dirt. We found that goat milk soap base fit these perimeters.
Skin Benefits of Goat Milk Soap
Goat milk contains essential fatty acids and triglycerides that help deeply cleanse and moisturize the skin. It is rich in antioxidants and has been touted as an excellent free-radical fighter to prevent skin aging. Goat milk also contains vitamins A, B, C and E and minerals like zinc, iron, and copper that nourish the skin.
Its rich fat content also makes goat milk an excellent anti-inflammatory and antibacterial agent to keep skin troubles at bay.
What I found:
After giving the goat milk soap base a try I was hooked. I became my own kitchen scientist and concocted all the different recipes to try. This particular one has Cypress and vanilla in it. This is where I get my oil – Cypress and Vanilla) Give it a go when you get a chance to DIY some soap for your family.
